Electronics Design Engineer

Mission:

Quality Engineer

Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for Seeking Perfection in the quality of EBWE’s products to Make Our Customers Successful by meeting or exceeding customer expectations and specifications. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products in a Lean Environment.
  • Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection. 
  • Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures such as FPY, FTQ, PPM.
  • Assist in process certification and validation. 
  • Review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans. 
  • Review suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements. 
  • Lead internal and external quality audits including, but not limited to IATF, ISO, FEMR, for ISO 9000 compliance.  
  • Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented. 
  • Compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities. 
  • Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses. 
  • Knowledge and ability to learn use of test equipment including AOI, SPI, Vision systems, CMM.
  • Travel Required.

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Automotive industry background preferred.
  • IATF: 3 Years Required.

Plant Manager

Summary:
Manage the activities on the shop floor, under the direction of the Vice President and follow established procedures and approved processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all production operations related to making the product. 
  • Dedicated to REMOVING WASTE AND ADDING VALUE FOR THE CUSTOMER.
  • Understand and positively impact key measures. Balance quality, productivity, safety, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.

Controller

Summary:
The Accounting Leader is responsible for maintaining and supervising tasks related to general accounting practices for the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee supervision of non-exempt employee(s) in the Accounting department.
  • Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank
    reconciliations within the ERP system.
  • Prepares operating and financial statements to report out to the Director of Finance.
  • Manage and report Fixed asset control and depreciation, accrual to meet anticipated liabilities.
  • Responsible for preparation of general tax reports such as those for sales, payroll and personal
    property taxes, and payables/receivables.

Materials Manager

Summary:
The Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator’s main function is to operate the surface mount line equipment in a safe and effective manner. The SMT Operator will perform line equipment setups and preparations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all related work instructions, achieve quality goals and production targets and follow all safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform PCB Load/ Unload, Transfer Conveyors, Screen Printer, SM Machines, Reflow Oven.
  • Component setups and teardown’s of Cassette Feeder, Tray Feeders, Vibratory Feeders, Hand Placed Components.
  • Surface Mount Management System Database (SMMS) startup requires operator to login and startup of the SMMS database as well as logging data in the SMMS database.
  • Report to your Team Leader and inform SM Technicians on all problems and issues at all times. Logging all data related to SM problems in the SMMS database.
  • Knowledge of IPC specifications related to SM assembly. Ensure quality meets or exceeds quality requirements.
  • Perform basic daily cleaning of machine surfaces, scrap bins and surrounding SM production areas. (5S)
  • Meet or exceed production set targets.

AOI Operator

Summary:
Able to effectively operate the AOI operating system on the production line; having exceptional attention to detail and understanding of fundamentals of quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Navigate and operate in Windows OS environment performing proper PC boot up and shut down and able to navigate drop down menus.
  • Print & Documentation recognition and interpretation of Customer/EBW Prints, WI’s/VA’s, Bill of Material, and IPC.
  • Inspect the board under the camera to ensure solderablity to be IPC compliant, part placement correct, and for orientation and polarity to be accurate.
  • Advise Tech if part is off from what the silkscreen on the PCB’s shows.
  • Check for skewing, no solder and missing parts.  Crucial visual inspection of the board to ensure quality.

Education/ Experience:

  • High School Education or Equivalent is required.
  • Experience in Electronics and/ production environment preferred.

Quality Technician

Summary:
The Quality Technician will support the activities of the Engineers and Production staff in day-to-day factory floor activities and issues with customers and suppliers. Technicians will operate the test machines and collect data in order to verify the quality of products being shipped to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect products using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, scales, oscilloscope and vision prior to shipment.
  • Test incoming raw materials.
  • Measure key quality characteristics of a process by sampling parts and analyzing trends.
  • Responsible for keeping all gauges and test machines used for monitoring quality calibrated and properly maintained. This can involve using test standards and masters to check readings and adjust tools accordingly.
  • Utilize the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to insure that all requirements of new or changed parts or processes are understood and addressed and those quality requirements are defined and communicated to suppliers.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education/ Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • College or certifications courses a plus.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Quality Assurance role.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • S 16949 or ISO 9001 / 2000 experience/knowledge, electronic, IPC, PCB, TS or ISO Auditor, ability to understand GD&T or read blueprints.
  • Competent in statistical process control techniques, GR&R, GD&T and print reading.
  • Good understanding calibration/use of gages, problem solving, and continual improvement methods and processes.
  • Ability to operate or learn how to program computer-aided inspection equipment or electronics testers and maintain uniformity in programming methods.
